    We're a friendly chess club in the middle of Braintree for anyone with an interest in the game, welcoming players of any standard. We have a very wide range of abilities and there's invariably somebody around to help you learn. We meet every Wednesday at Braintree Liberal Club, which is on Coggeshall Road just by the Sainsbury's petrol station, from 7:30 till late. Turn up any time or get in touch with Peter the secretary for more info. PLEASE NOTE: For visiting teams, if the club car park is full you are advised to park in the local Sainsbury’s car park which is free after 6pm.  Please refrain from parking in the road outside the club (Croft Close) as there are parking restrictions there which may result in a ticket.
